Woodforest - A Deed Restricted Community
The trees are a little bigger and the grass is a little greener in Woodforest, which is considered a move-up neighborhood among some other east Harris County communities.
Woodforest was developed in the late 1960s as a deed restricted community and remains so today. Many of the old oaks and magnolias were left in place, giving the neighborhood an established feel.

A petition to identify the overall interest in returning to a Semi-Annual Community Garage Sale Day (instead of every Saturday) is currently available in the WCA Office for your signature. You MUST go by the Office to sign up before July 30, 2010. [If you prefer the current weekly Saturday sales, no response is needed.]

WHERE: 13155 Woodforest
WHEN: 6/20/2010
HOW: On Sunday, June 20, 2010 at approximately 9:00 am, deputies responded to a shooting at the Tall Timbers Apartments located 13155 Woodforest. Upon arrival they located an unidentified Hispanic male deceased from an apparent gunshot wound. There is no known motive for the shooting and the case is currently being investigated by the Homicide Unit. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477)
